Factory worker by day, comic book artist by night, Emma (Alison
Pill) makes a rash decision that may or may not get her fired from her career making sex dolls. It isn’t exactly an ideal situation, but aspiring novelist Michelle (Mariana Ximenes)
thinks up a way to help Emma out.

Pedro Morelli’s new comedy, “Zoom” will premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, and its official synopsis reads: “A cartoonist draws a
comic book about a filmmaker, who shoots a film about a novelist, who writes a
book about a cartoonist. In three interwoven stories, ‘Zoom’ dives
into a world of art and sex that sustains both pursuits — along with a sense of
unfettered id.”

To get a better sense of this multi-dimensional story, take a look at the exclusive clip above, introducing Emma
and her creation, Edward (Gael García Bernal), the filmmaker at the heart of
her comic.

“Zoom” will have its world premiere at the Toronto
International Film Festival on September 15.
