So Jonathan Groff has to take a 32 day break from the intensely acclaimed Broadway musical "Hamilton" to go shoot the "Looking" movie, and guess who’s taking his place? None other than Andrew Rannells, his former HBO Sunday night comrade.
This isn’t the first major Broadway shoes Rannells has filled recently. He was the first up to replace Neil Patrick Harris on "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," to very warm notices. He also got a Tony nod for playing Elder Price in "The Book of Mormon."
Groff — who plays King George in the musical — will be back December 1st.
