Corin Hardy’s creature feature “The Hallow” isn’t set to hit theaters until November 6. But DirecTV has just announced that the film will be offered exclusively on DirecTV Cinema from now until November 4 — one month before the Sundance chiller hits theaters.

The film, written by Hardy and Felipe Marino, and starring Joseph Mawle and Bojana Novakovic, spins a familiar web of familial terror with a few clever twists. What begins as a quiet move to a new home for a conservationist and his family quickly turns dark when it becomes clear that the neighboring woods are brimming with dark forces locals describe as “banshees” and “baby killers.” A loving tribute to the monster movie tradition with a decidedly sadistic bent, “The Hallow” looks to be a satisfying labyrinth of horrors just in time for Halloween.

Lock the door, turn out the lights and catch “The Hallow” while you can on DirecTV Cinema. Watch the harrowing trailer above.
