FilmBuff Picks Up ALS Documentary 'TransFatty Lives'

FilmBuff has picked up U.S. distribution rights to “TransFatty Lives,” which won the Audience Award at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. The film stars and is directed by Patrick O’Brien, a DJ and internet personality who goes by the moniker TransFatty.

The film is a 10 year journey in O’Brien’s life that begins after he is diagnosed with ALS and given two to five years to live. “TransFatty Lives” is a personal document of O’Brien’s struggle with the illness and an inspiring story of a man facing unspeakable challenges. 

FilmBuff will release “TransFatty Lives” theatrically and On Demand on November 20. Watch the trailer above.
