Israel Film Festival to Honor Aaron Sorkin for Achievement in Film and Television

Aaron Sorkin, screenwriter of “The Social Network,” “Moneyball,” “The West Wing” and recent NYFF premiere “Steve Jobs,” will be honored with the IFF Achievement in Film & Television Award at the Opening Night Gala of the 2015 Israel Film Festival in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

“We are thrilled to honor writer and producer Aaron Sorkin this year for his impressive individual contributions to the film and television industries. His iconic films and TV shows have entertained audiences around the world,” commented Israel Film Festival founder Meir Fenigstein.

The festival will also include the U.S. premiere of Israel’s Best Foreign Language Oscar submission “Baba Joon,” which tells the story of three successive generations of Iranian-Jewish turkey farmers.

The 2015 Israel Film Festival will run from October 28 – November 19. Tickets go on sale beginning October 15.
