Daniel Radcliffe now has both an ally and an adversary for the upcoming thriller “Imperium”: Toni Collette (“Little Miss Sunshine”), as FBI vet Angela Zampino, and Tracy Letts (“Homeland”), as white supremacist Dallas Wolf. “True Blood” heartthrob Sam Trammel also joins the cast as Jerry Conrad, a suburban father and Aryan youth recruiter.
Radcliffe stars as Nate Foster, a young FBI agent who goes undercover in a white supremacist group in order to expose a plot to detonate a dirty bomb. The script, co-written by former FBI agent Mike German and director Daniel Ragussis, is inspired by German’s 16-year career in counter-terrorism. Production on the film, which will be distributed by Lionsgate Premiere, the company’s new multi-platform specialty label, begins this week in Virginia.
