Originally slated to open at the end of August, Alejandro Amenábar‘s spooky “Regression” was quietly taken off the calendar and instead headed to the San Sebastian Film Festival where it made its World Premiere. And with the movie opening in several overseas territories this month, with more to come in the weeks ahead, a few clips from the movie have landed online.
Emma Watson and Ethan Hawke star in the ’90s set movie that follows a detective who investigates the accusations a young woman has made against her father. And of course, things are not what they seem in this in this grim looking horror/thriller. Here’s the official synopsis:
Minnesota, 1990. Detective Bruce Kenner (Ethan Hawke) investigates the case of young Angela (Emma Watson), who accuses her father, John Gray (David Dencik), of an unspeakable crime. When John unexpectedly and without recollection admits guilt, renowned psychologist Dr. Raines (David Thewlis) is brought in to help him relive his memories and what they discover unmasks a horrifying nationwide mystery.
According to IMDB, “Regression” will hit U.S. cinemas on February 5, 2016. Watch below and check out a lot of new images.
