What better way to get Oscar gold than to make a movie about a man who’s already done it? So seems to be the thinking of “Trumbo,” the biopic about the eponymous screenwriter who managed to earn two Academy Awards — neither under his own name —while infamously blacklisted as part of the “Hollywood 10.”

Bryan Cranston is playing Trumbo, with direction by Jay Roach and an all-star cast that includes Helen Mirren, Louis C.K., Elle Fanning, and John Goodman. In the featurette above, the cast talks about Trumbo’s legacy, Hollywood during the blacklist era and how the film’s free speech themes remain relevant today.
