ESPN‘s “30 For 30” documentary series is excellent, digging deep into various corners of sports history, and turning out some amazing stories. That said, the format is ripe for parody, and the folks at College Humor have put together a hilarious look at Disney‘s 1994 baseball flick “Angels In The Outfield,” shown through the “30 For 30” lens.
The five-minute riff explores the strange supernatural happenings surrounding the bumbling California Angels at the time, and even Whitt Bass (a.k.a. Neal McDonough) stops by to get in on the fun. Danny Glover‘s coach comes off as something of an inept creep, as pundits and observers weigh in on just happen during that wacky year. It’s funny stuff that really nails the tone.
