The reviews have been undercooked, the buzz has been underseasoned, and the puns will keep coming this weekend when the box office reports roll in for Bradley Cooper‘s “Burnt.” But The Weinstein Company is making one last mild play for the movie with a final trailer.
It’s a bit of an odd one as it collects extended moments with each of the cast members. And that’s fine for folks like Daniel Bruhl, Omar Sy, Emma Thompson, and Sienna Miller, who factor heavily into the story of a bad boy chef looking to put this demons behind him. But it’s positively bizarre for folks like Lily James (whose entire appearance in the movie is essentially the excerpted scene in the promo) and Uma Thurman (who has an equally tiny role). As I noted in my review, movie feels like it was sliced and diced in the editing room, and this final trailer really doesn’t shake that sensation.
“Burnt” is now cooking up a storm in a theater near you.
