Morgan Freeman Will Play a Retired CIA Agent on a Cold War Era Mission in 'Warriors'

Morgan Freeman is attached to star in the spy action/comedy “Cold Warriors,” which will tell the story of a retired CIA agent who teams up with his stepson, a computer programmer, to complete a Cold War era mission.

Raja Gosnell (“Big Momma’s House,” “The Smurfs”) will direct the movie for Millennium Entertainment.

A search is underway for an actor to play the stepson to Freeman’s stepfather, the former CIA agent.

Freeman’s Revelations Entertainment production shingle is producing the film, along with Millennium’s Mark Gill.

Avi Lerner is executive producing.

Freeman will next be seen in “London Has Fallen,” the sequel to last year’s “Olympus Has Fallen,” which will be in theaters next March.

Deadline was first to report the news of Freeman’s casting.
