About the Film:
The film tells of the trials, tribulation and triumph of three elderly nomadic women whose life stories have unfolded in The Tibetan Plateau. With themes that explore spirituality and women’s roles within the nomadic community, the film progresses in the harsh landscape and with rapidly changing climatic conditions and cultural changes spurred by modernisation.
The filmmakers shared a dream to tell the stories of people who perhaps don’t usually get the opportunity to connect with the rest of the world. And so out of a deep commitment and respect for the subject matter, Of Woman And Earth was born.
