This time last year, when we were waiting for glimpses of the first season of “Better Call Saul,” we were frustrated by teases that teased to the point of annoyance. But in this first trailer for the upcoming Season 2, there’s a lot more substance to be had.
Okay, sure, all we’re doing is following Bob Odenkirk as he both walks through a parking lot and walks the line between his two alter egos — Jimmy McGill and Saul Goodman — but the flashes of dialogue we hear remind us of some truly powerful moments for the character.
What’s actually really great about this teaser is that the biggest moments it invokes are from “Better Call Saul” Season 1, not “Breaking Bad”; a reminder that the Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould spin-off has found its own voice.
“Better Call Saul” Season 2 should premiere sometime in 2016.
