A new trailer has been released for “Portrait of a Serial Monogamist” that teases all of its modern revisions of the well-worn romantic-comedy genre. Written and directed by John Mitchell and Christina Zeidler, “Portrait of a Serial Monogamist” stars Diane Flacks as Elsie, a woman with a long string of broken hearts behind her.

Elsie breaks up with her longtime girlfriend in order to move on to a new romantic pursuit, something she has a hefty reputation for. Elsie faces off against a large slew of problems that plague the modern dater, including disapproval from family, conflicting advice from friends and a healthy mixture of guilt, regret and a little bit of hope that the newest relationship will actually work out.

An honest look at the predicaments that serial daters find themselves in, “Portrait of a Serial Monogamist” will be released on January 29 in Los Angeles theaters and on DVD and across all digital platforms including iTunes, Vimeo On Demand and WolfeOnDemand.com, on February 2.
