If the pop culture of the past century was a physical path that you tried to wade through, you’d be hard pressed to make it more than five feet before tripping over the mangled corpse leftovers of a zombie victim. In order to organize things, Digg has made a lovely supercut showing the evolution of zombies in film and TV history, demonstrating how the genre has encompassed lore like voodoo backstories and more modern preoccupations with viral diseases. From “Voodoo Man” to the man Bill Murray, the video features zombies from over 80 years of entertainment.

Set to a funky disco tune, Digg’s supercut also makes you think twice about what the Bee Gees meant by “Stayin’ Alive.” Check out the video, courtesy of Digg, above.
