Over two decades after Richard Linklater explored coming-of-age themes through a group of hazy 1970’s high schoolers in “Dazed and Confused,” the director is back at it once again with a spiritual sequel centered around 1980’s college students.

Formerly titled “That’s What I’m Talking About,” Linklater’s latest focuses on a group of college baseball players as they navigate their way through the freedoms and responsibilities of unsupervised adulthood.

Everybody Wants Some” stars Blake Jenner as the new ballplayer on campus, and it features an ensemble cast of Will Brittain, Zoey Deutch, Ryan Guzman, Tyler Hoechlin, Glen Powell and Wyatt Russell. The film is written and directed by Linklater and produced by Megan Ellison, Richard Linklater and Ginger Sledge. Paramount Pictures will release the film on April 15, 2016, just over a month after it opens SXSW on March 11.
