“Undateable Live” is in the middle of its third season, so sixth lead Rick Glassman knows that if his character is going to move towards the forefront of the show, he has to start the transition now. So he schedules a sit-down with Bill Lawrence — the showrunner and past creator of “Scrubs” — to pitch a series of jokes for his character that might help him make a shift in popularity, similar to Chris Pratt’s rise from “Parks and Recreation” to blockbuster fame. Unfortunately, Lawrence doesn’t seem moved by any of Glassman’s gags. The stand out: “Mountain Dew. How about Mountain Don’t?”
The new digital series “The Sixth Lead,” written and directed by Glassman, takes a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making a live sitcom… if you’re pretty low on the totem pole.
