Zoe is surrounded by a cast of colorful characters, including her smart and precocious eight-year-old son Xavier (Jaylon Gordon), her fashion-forward and fun assistant Valenté (Tory Devon Smith), her publicist and best friend Pearl (Haneefah Wood) and sexy contractor Miguel (Ignacio Serricchio).
The project comes from executive producers Debra Martin Chase, Danny Rose, Scooter Braun, and executive producer/writer Erica Montolfo-Bura. Brandy Norwood and Elaine Aronson also co-executive produce.
It premieres tonight, Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at 10p/9c, on BET.
“Zoe Ever After” comes as Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil (responsible for 2 BET series) end their relationship with the network, leaving fans of “Being Mary Jane” wondering whether the drama series will return.
