Jack

I liked the one with the dinosaurs.

Boss

I hope Star Wars wins

Phil

The Cape Cod International Film Festival selected WE CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT COSMOS (Russia) from more than 330 films. So excited to see it’s nominated for Best Animated Short at the Oscars! Congratulations to Director Konstantin Bronzit and his team! If you have a chance to see this film, please do…

Saif

yah f the oscars, no Micheal B Jordan for creed? wow

livez

Best picture nomination is a joke when you see a bullshit crap like mad max fury road gets 10 nomination holy crap Oscars. As far as best actor nomination concerned everyone wants Leo to win but let deserved guys like fassbender, matt damon or to the least Bryan should win it becoz these are the guys who really gave us a wonderful performance not leo this is far away from his best

arf

"Best DIGITAL Effects"? And only four nominees? Must be a new category.

C.C.

And the NBA and NFL are awfully black. There isn’t a story here. Just progressives doing their racist thing.

sean

Very sad no Best Picture love for Carol or Todd Haynes. So I’m rooting for Spotlight for Best Picture & Miller for Director.

JC

THE REVENANT and FURY ROAD are just conventional three-act movies with little to no character development per their running times. They are just a series of violent encounters and are considered "art" because they are not as bad as, say, a Michael Bay film (a non-accomplishment). Lol. Hollywood does not reward truly daring films anymore, let alone make them.

Congrats to Konstantin Bronzit and his team! Winner, Best Animated Short at the Cape Cod International Film Festival WE CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT COSMOS (Russia) nominated for an Oscar! (See it if you can. It’s a masterpiece)…

jm

A shame indeed. Carol is the best picture of 2015.

MR O

I guess the team from SPOTLIGHT should begging to research this patterns. SPOTLIGHT Part 2 : Racism at the OSCARS! ( This time, we will sue HOLLYWOOD, but you won’t see what happens after, because nothing will) (Like SPOTLIGHT Part 1, even the new cool POPE haven’t done much about it)

MR O

…and The Big Short….I haven’t seen it yet. But again, a huge white cast.

Mr O

I didn’t want to think that the OSCARS are racist, but I think they are. I was having difficult understanding SPOTLIGHT, because I just didn’t get it. It wasn’t a bad film, but not an academy award winner for best picture. The cast is ok, but I have seen them doing a better job in other films. And the script, it is not the best one either. Anyway. So, that makes me think, that all the campaign related to SPOTLIGHT from critics and awards experts is based on racism. They picked the whitest film of the year with the whitest cast. Because if they really know about filmmaking they should know that is an Ok film. I am happy for the director, he is getting better and I am sure he will. But really, now I think now I am getting why SPOTLIGHT was considered the best film of the year in the award race…

Mi

see people how racism works? This is not only a name calling but IGNORING African American artists by nasty academy of white oscars.Where are PR articles calling out members of the academy?

Lauren

Very sad that both Carol and The Danish Girl were excluded from Best Picture, but I’m happy that Bridge of Spies got in.

Don Olson

How little to be said about the way things get nominated. It is a shame some independents are not recognized. And who buys off the nominations . Quite a lot of nepotism here I suspect

Matt

I’m getting sick of seeing Jennifer Lawrence’s name on everything. She’s not that great an actress, there are plenty of women in the industry who deserve to be nominated more than her.

Quan

Carol being snubbed for Best Director and Best Picture is such a shame. Thank you the Academy for giving me a reason to boycott the Oscar.

Mutiganda

Very Disappointed again for this Year’s Nominations! Again too WHITISH! Idris Elba of Beasts Of No Nation could not miss for best Supporting Actor, at least to represent the minor Black community in Film industry. Very Disappointed for Real! I don’t think I will be able to follow the Awards’ Steps, as none remaining in Nominations that pulled my interests in!

THURGOOD

Sorkin and Tarantino not getting noms is outrageous. And where the hell is Idris Elba?! Geez I thought last year’s lack of diversity was bad..

-

Carol not even being nominated completely invalidates the whole best picture category to me

Emily

Carol was robbed for Best Picture and Best Director!! So disappointing year.

kendoll

Disgusting!

kendoll

I will boycott this FWPOG!

Liz

Last year I was feeling meh about Oscars so white since there weren’t many contenders of color. However, I am appalled that Creed was blatantly ignored. Ryan Coogler is one of the best talents out there period. I was hoping that Michael B. Jordan might get a push in the Best Actor category as a dark horse. But no. All in all, I’m just glad that Mad Max Fury Road s is dominating. I hope they sweep the awards.

kendoll

The list for Best Actor/Actress and Supporting Actor/Actress is disturbing and very sad.

Gonzalo

So many nominations for Carol and still no "Best Picture". What a shame…

HeidiB

I am so glad Sicario was nominated for Best Score- I can’t get that haunting music out of my head! It is brilliant! Otherwise- nominees are pretty predictable…
