'Mad Max: Fury Road,' 'The Big Short,' And 'Inside Out' Win Top Prizes At ACE Eddie Awards

It’s four weeks until the Oscars, and the awards from various guilds will keep prognosticators continually on their toes about who might take the big prize from the Academy. The latest group that will get the buzz going again are the American Cinema Editors, who, last night, honored the best edited films of 2015.

In the drama category, everyone’s fave “Mad Max: Fury Road” most notably beat out “The Revenant” for the win. It seems the momentum is swinging back and forth between the two movies as the Oscars draw near. But one movie that could be a spoiler on Oscar night is “The Big Short,” which won in the comedy category. Coupled with a win from the PGA awards last weekend, one wonders if Adam McKay‘s film could benefit from any vote splitting between ‘Fury Road’ and “The Revenant.”
