SXSW 2016 to Feature Pee-wee Herman, Tony Robbins, and World Premiere of Seth Rogen's AMC Series 'Preacher'

The first slate of titles for SXSW 2016 includes the world premieres of Netflix original film “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday,” produced by Judd Apatow and star Paul Reubens, director Joe Berlinger’s (“Metallica: Some Kind of Monster”) documentary portrait “

Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru,” and the AMC series “Preacher,” developed by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Sam Catlin from the DC Comics title.

In addition to previously announced Opening Night selection “Everybody Wants Some,” Richard Linklater’s first film since “Boyhood,” the 2016 edition will also feature Athina Rachel Tsangari’s festival-circuit favorite “Chevalier” and the North American premiere of Jeff Nichols’ highly anticpated “Midnight Special.”
