'The Look of Silence' Dominates the 2016 Cinema Eye Honors Awards

Founded in 2007, the Cinema Eye Honors for Nonfiction Filmmaking was created to recognize the exemplary craft and innovation on display in nonfiction films each year. The organization has been giving out its awards at an annual ceremony at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens since 2011, and tonight they awarded the very best in documentaries from the past year, from current Oscar contenders like “Amy” and “The Look of Silence” to more diverse fare like “Heart of a Dog,” “The Wolfpack,” “Toto and His Sisters” and more.
