New York’s New Indie Movie Theater Unveils Stellar First Season of Programming
Metograph, New York City’s new two-screen indie movie house, has announced its first season of programming, and it can only be described as cinephile heaven. The theater, which is officially opening at 7 Ludlow Street (at Canal Street) on Friday, February 19, will be hosting several must-see retrospectives and special programs throughout March and April.

The Ziegfeld Theater, which opened in 1969 on W. 54th street, will be shutting its doors for good in the coming weeks. It’s the last remaining large-scale single-screen theater operating in Manhattan, which makes its closing all the more devastating.
