Watch: Boys Will Be Boys in Exclusive Clip From Ira Sachs' 'Little Men'

After premiering to critical acclaim earlier this week at the Sundance Film Festival, Ira Sachs’ latest family drama, “Little Men,” is currently in a bitter bidding war between multiple distributors. Mongrel has already landed the international rights to Sachs’ film. 

Sony Pictures Classics has released two of Sachs’ films in the past 10 years, including his last feature “Love is Strange,” so they’re most likely in the mix for his new project. The distributor has had a relatively light Sundance this year — their deals include the Frank Zappa music doc “Eat That Question” — and is probably looking to land an acclaimed feature. However, Sundance this year has been largely dominated by streaming giants Amazon and Netflix, so it’s really anyone’s guess as to who will pick up the movie. 

Sachs’ sixth feature follows 13-year-old Jake as he moves from Manhattan to Brooklyn, where he begins to understand gentrification, freedom, friendship and familial struggles. Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Ehle, Paulina Garcia and newcomers Theo Taplitz and Michael Barbieri star. The drama will have its next screening at the Berlin International Film Festival next month.

“Little Men” premiered on January 25 at the Sundance Film Festival. Watch an exclusive clip from the movie above.
