Indiewire has an exclusive first look at “Backgammon,” complete with a new poster and trailer that is provocatively twisted. Backgammon” is the directorial debut of Mexican filmmaker Francisco Orvañanos, who also co-wrote the screenplay, an adaptation of the novella “Bloody Baudelaire.” The film will be out in theaters and VOD on March 11. Check out the trailer above and the poster below.

Part psycho-sexual thriller and part classic mystery, the film starts off at a young couple’s innocent weekend getaway. But tensions quickly rise when they encounter a pair of slightly older bohemians. Soon, old alliances are broken, new ones are formed, and nothing is quite what it seems. “Backgammon” stars Brittany Allen, Noah Silver, Alex Beh, and Christian Alexander.
