This week, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" became the highest grossing domestic film of all time, passing $760.5 million. However, the movie looks unlikely to beat the total worldwide haul of $2.7 billion of "Avatar." That said, there were will be two factors of key importance on whether or not it hits that mark: how long the movie can leg out at the box office, and also, how it will play in China. ‘The Force Awakens’ finally opens in the country this weekend, and to help get the word out, Disney has enlisted the talents of Lu Han.
The hugely popular singer has been a part of the marketing machine for the movie in China, and now he’s recorded a song, and there’s no way to put this lightly: it’s terrible. "The Inner Force" (lol) is every horrific pop song trope of past few years crammed together with dubstep madness and lyrics that are kinda sorta but not really about ‘The Force Awakens.’ It’s quite….something.
