It was only a year ago when Rosamund Pike was touring the awards season circuit and receiving countless Best Actress nominations for her malicious turn in “Gone Girl,” and we’ve been waiting patiently ever since to see the British beauty deliver another knockout on the big screen. We’re currently waiting with much anticipation for Amma Asante’s period drama “A United Kingdom,” in which she plays the wife of Botswana’s first president (played by David Oyelowo), but a new music video has arrived to hold us over just a bit longer.
Pike has turned up in the recently released video for the Massive Attack and Young Fathers song “Voodoo in My Blood.” Directed by Ringan Ledwidge, the video follows Pike down an abandoned subway. She stops when a floating robotic orb approaches her and seemingly possesses her, forcing the actress to break out a ferocious intensity that absolutely has to find its way to the big screen at some point. Pike’s possession becomes a transfixing interpretive dance, and we could spend hours trying to decipher what it all means.
Check out Pike in action in the video above.
