Virtual reality is upon us, with the imminent release of the Oculus Rift launch kicking off the wealth of VR options for in-home viewers. Now it looks like Jon Favreau’s “The Jungle Book” adaptation is hopping on the bandwagon.
The promotional tool for the upcoming Disney live-action “Jungle Book” film, not to be confused with Andy Serkis’ “Jungle Book Origins” slated for 2017, isn’t quite that high tech, as it can run in your Facebook window. The video allows viewers to look around in 360 degrees and features Scarlett Johansson’s Kaa, the python.
In promotion of “The Jungle Book”s April release, the project will also be screened in IMAX theaters in major cities throughout the country. The full list of cities and dates is as follows:
4/1 – 4/3 in San Diego, Kansas City and New York
