Key and Peele's 'Keanu' Added to SXSW as Work-in-Progress Screening

Mere days after announcing that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s highly anticipated animated comedy “Sausage Party” would be showing at this month’s SXSW Film Festival in a work-in-progress capacity, the fest has added yet another work-in-progress screening of an upcoming comedy. Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele’s kitten-centric crime comedy “Keanu” will now show at the festival, guaranteeing at least one must-see event for kitten pals everywhere.

The film’s official synopsis reads: “A mysterious catnapping triggers a chain of events that lead cousins Clarence and Rell into the belly of LA’s criminal underworld. Suburbanites at heart, the hapless pair are ill-equipped to deal with the threats and illegal activities that lie ahead, but they have no choice but to dive in and rescue Rell’s beloved kitten, Keanu.” The kitten is kidnapped. Kit-napped, if you will.
