'Orange is the New Black' is More Emotional Than Ever in First Look Season 4 Photos


When we last saw the ensemble of Netflix’s acclaimed “Orange is the New Black,” many of them were celebrating a rebirth of sorts at a joyful celebration in the neighboring lake, while others, like Taylor Schilling’s irascible Piper, were stuck behind the walls of Litchfield, fully absorbed by the dark side of prison life. Unbeknownst to all of them, several busloads of new inmates were arriving at the prison entrance, and it’s here where creator Jenji Kohan left viewers, agonizingly teasing all the drama that’s about to come with this wave of fresh blood.

Not much is known about the upcoming fourth season of “Orange is the New Black,” though it’s safe to assume that new prisoners and old habits will create no shortage of drama for the characters we love most. Aside from quick teasers, Netflix hasn’t really shown much of the new episodes, though that changes today with a handful of new first look photos that confirm the emotional season on the horizon. From Piper being violently confronted to Red and Mendoza both working in the kitchen and Sophia looking helpless in solitary confinement, “Orange” looks more emotional than ever.
