Paladin to Release Quirky NYC Rom-Com '3rd Street Blackout'

Paladin Pictures is set to release a fresh new romantic comedy from directors Negin Farsad and Jeremy Redleaf. Entitled “3rd Street Blackout,” the film takes place during the New York power outage of 2012 following Hurricane Sandy.

The co-directors also happen to be the co-stars of the film, and they play a tech-savvy couple who are forced to live without the assistance of technology. When they have a spat, they are each forced to resort to old-fashioned ways of connecting to the people around them, including friends, neighbors and other assorted East Village denizens.

Rounding out the cast is Ed Weeks (“The Mindy Project”), Janeane Garofalo and comedian John Hodgman.

“3rd Street Blackout” will play City Cinema’s Village East Theater starting on April 29 before expanding into select engagements throughout the country in May.
