The winning filmmaker will become a candidate for March Project of the Month. That winner will be in the running for Project of the Year.

The four projects up for this week’s Project of the Week are listed below (with descriptions courtesy of the filmmakers). You can vote at the bottom of the page.

Sickies Making Films: To some it was a bastion of decency. To others it was a waste of taxpayer money. This is the story of film censorship. A look at the Maryland Board of Censors—the longest surviving censor board in America.

Cuban Food Stories: The first feature length documentary about food, society, and culture on the island of Cuba. A unique world of flavors and breathtaking locations like you have never seen before.
What Children Do: A dark comedy about two estranged sisters who return to their hometown in upstate New York to take care of their dying grandmother and in the process attempt to repair their dysfunctional relationship.
The Big Swim: When Rachel finds out she might have breast cancer, she decides to face her biggest fear: swimming with sharks.

Sorry I missed the voting. I would have chosen Sickies Making Films.

I voted alongside many friends for the big swim. I know of approximately 14 votes that did not register on the poll and I think the admin of this poll should really look into this as their is definitely some discrepancy going on here.

Hi, Me and some friends voted for the Big Swim because we resonate with the topic and the vibe of the project but we didn’t saw the votes reflected in the counter, thanks

I have problems to vote The Big Swim! I don´t see it reflected in the results.

Sean Waldron

The Big Swim needs your support, it has heart, and a courageous script. i would love to see this film succeed to a broad audience. The best about all this is that the production company has decided wisely in using a woman to direct this film.
