Nicholas Hoult seems to have finally found his spotlight after years of turning in solid work, thanks to his recent stand-out performance in the Oscar-winning “Mad Max: Fury Road.” So it’s no surprise that the up-and-coming star would continue that trend with his latest role in director Owen Harris’ feature debut “Kill Your Friends.”
Starring Hoult, Craig Roberts, James Corden in a stellar ensemble cast, the film is set to reignite the cultural craze that Britons experienced with the sudden resurgence of the quintessential British ’60s musical sound back in the late ’90s. With bands like Blur, The Verve and Oasis hogging up the radio waves, the music industry was at an all-time high. But soon enough that high had to come to an end. As careers and lives are torn apart and turned upside down, Hoult’s Stelfox must decide whether he is willing to stoop to a whole new level of sleaze and cruelty.
