Netflix’s nostalgic reboot of the Tanner family’s antics, “Fuller House,” may star the same actors from the original cast, but they certainly are showing a different side to themselves this time around. In keeping with the times, Bob Saget wants the world to know that the new rendition of the series is “a more updated, gritty ‘Full House’ reboot.”

In fact, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and John Stamos go on to tell Stephen Colbert that they’re bringing audiences, “Full House Nights,” a show centered on three adult male roommates “who have seen a little bit too much.” Colbert even starred in the crime-solving saga and seemed to forget about it. Maybe the fact that he plays Dmitri, a Russian mobster who must face the three men of the law: “good cop, bad cop, and impressionist cop?” That’s just how existential and hard-core the crime solving got.

“Fuller House” was just picked for a second season on Netflix; an exciting renewal for a series that only just premiered February 26. Check out the ridiculous introduction — a clever riff on the stylized “True Detective” opening credits —  and skit from “Full House Nights,” a series that will make some “Fuller House” fans wish that it was actually a Netflix series.
