The 2016 MTV Movie Awards were taped last night on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California ahead of tonight’s broadcast premiere, and while that means you can already find out who won all of the ceremony’s biggest prizes, it certainly doesn’t mean you don’t have to tune in and see the star-studded show for yourself. As anyone who has watched the MTV Movie Awards over the past 25 years can tell you, the ceremony is a wild and often hilarious affair, and with new looks at “Suicide Squad,” “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and more, this year is bound to be no exception.
Tackling hosting duties are “Central Intelligence” co-stars Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson, and both have promised lots of theatrics (from fire displays to musical moments) in pre-show interviews. Will Smith and Melissa McCarthy will also be in attendance as the recipients of this year’s Generation Award and Comedic Genius Award, respectively. There’s currently several show teases and photos that you can access now by heading over to the MTV website, and the entire telecast will be streaming online via the link or the video embedded below.
Coverage begins streaming at 7:30pm, with the show expected to air at 8pm. Click here for more MTV Movie Awards coverage.
