Guillermo del Toro Bringing Personal Collection to LACMA — Indiewire's Friday Rundown

Visionary director Guillermo del Toro (“Crimson Peak,” “Pacific Rim”) is organizing a comprehensive exhibit of his eclectic personal collection at the Los Angles County Museum of Art (LACMA), which will be on view to the public between July and November of this year. Showcasing more than 500 pieces from his home museum (or “Bleak House” as it is known), the exhibit will go on tour, starting at LACMA and hitting sites in Minneapolis, Toronto, Mexico City, Barcelona and Paris, finally winding up in New York City.

– The Maryland Film Festival has announced “Hunter Gatherer” as its closing night film, along with an announcement of the final feature selections, including a special screening of “Fresh” (on 35mm) presented by activist and Baltimore mayoral candidate DeRay Mckesson. You can check out the full lineup here.
