The winning filmmaker will become a candidate for April Project of the Month. That winner will be in the running for Project of the Year.

The four projects up for this week’s Project of the Week are listed below (with descriptions courtesy of the filmmakers). You can vote at the bottom of the page.

Facing East: A 12 week, 6,000 km journey from Germany to Turkey, retracing the route of the refugee crisis.

Sanctuary of Butterflies: Experience a film seeded thousands of years in Mexico’s musical past, as the father of Ethnorock, Luis Perez-Ixoneztli, guides us on an otherworldly journey to preserve the remnants of a forgotten culture.

Suds County 2: The Boil Over: “Suds County 2: The Boil Over” explores the incredible recent growth in San Diego County’s craft breweries. The film will also take a look at how San Diego beer styles and San Diego’s brewers are influencing breweries around the nation and the world.
Tortoise: A bowling fanatic finds a talking tortoise bent on destroying his life.
