‘Ghostbusters’ International Trailer Promises Nothing Less Than A Worldwide Apocalypse

'Ghostbusters' International Trailer Promises Nothing Less Than A Worldwide Apocalypse

They ain’t afraid of no ghosts, but perhaps they should be. Sony Pictures UK has just released a new trailer for Paul Feig’s upcoming “Ghostbusters,” and it features both brand new footage and the lingering sense that, this time around, the stakes are much higher than they were in the beloved franchise’s earlier incarnations. Specifically, we’re talking a full-scale apocalypse. Fun!

This new international trailer makes it clear that the film’s new Busters – including Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon – are in for some serious slime, thanks to a bevy of pissed off ghosts that don’t appear to be pulling any punches. The trailer also lets on that a greater power might be at play here, the kind that might just be yanking some behind-the-scenes strings and purposely launching a full-scale ghost attack in service to some other aim. In other words, Slimer might have a boss now.

Also, the campaign to allow Chris Hemsworth to exclusively do comedic roles starts right here.
