'Microbe and Gasoline': Michel Gondry's Latest Film Gets Whimsical And Inspiring New Trailer


The latest trailer for Michel Gondry’s film “Microbe and Gasoline” reminds us that we always need adventure, love and freedom in our lives. 

Starring Ange Dargent and Théophile Banquet as two adolescent outsiders, the new U.S. teaser introduces us to Daniel and Théo, known as Microbe and Gasoline, names given to them by school bullies. This coming-of-age story follows the young boys as they develop a friendship, fend off mischievous youths and decide to build an interesting and “homey” car to embark on a road trip across their native France. Watch their adventure unfold in the video above.

The film, also written by the “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” helmer, also stars ‘Amélie’ actress Audrey Tautou and Diane Besnier. Georges Bermann served as producer. 

“Microbe and Gasoline” is set to be released in New York and Los Angeles on July 1 before expanding nationwide.
