Radiohead Shares Comical Adam Buxton-Helmed ‘Desert Island Disk’ Teaser

Radiohead Shares Comical Adam Buxton-Helmed 'Desert Island Disk' Teaser

Radiohead continues with their series of Friday vignettes, releasing a new video on Instagram every week based on songs off their latest album “A Moon Shaped Pool.”

This time it’s a clip created by English comedian, writer and actor Adam Buxton for the song “Desert Island Disk.” The video is the third in a series of interpretations and shows a close-up of flowers with the camera gliding on over them then going on to a couple of white flowers. Then the camera stops and seems to have to buffer before it can move on.

A couple weeks ago the band announced that it was looking for artists and directors to create short vignettes interpreting their songs from their new LP. The first to be shown was by audio-visual artist Tarik Barri who is based in Holand, the second was by Oscar Hudson, who interpreted the song “The Numbers.”

Last night, Radiohead played in London for the first time in four years at the Roundhouse in Camden, it was the first of three concerts they will be headlining. The band made headlines when guitarist Jonny Greenwood messed up during the intro of one of their songs, using a harmonica instead of the ondes martenot. Frontman Thom Yorke poked fun at his bandmate, with various videos of the incident being shared online.
