The Best Indie Movies of 2016 So Far, According to the Criticwire Network

Each week, members of Indiewire’s Criticwire Network share their grades for new theatrical releases. Throughout the year, we’ve tracked the films that have had the top feedback from those critics. Below, we’ve assembled all the films that have been reviewed by at least 15 critics and currently have an overall B+ from critics.

Averages and totals are subject to change, but we’ll update the list with new additions as notable titles make their way onto theaters or VOD screens across the country. For now, these are the films from the year that have earned the highest collective acclaim from the Criticwire Network.
