'X-Men: The Animated Series' Honest Trailer Proves The Show Was Better Than The Movies

“Return to the era of super soakers and pizza bagels” with the latest Screen Junkies Honest Trailer which takes a look at the “X-Men: Animated Series” from the ’90s.

The cartoon version of the comic book series was first debuted in Oct. 1992, as part of Fox Kids Saturday morning lineup, which also included the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” and “Eek the Cat.” As the video teases, this was “a decade where no one gave a crap about The Avengers” and “X-Men” was “the second best superhero series ever made” with Batman in first place.

The Honest Trailer remembers the opening theme song that would get stuck in everyone’s head and also compares the movies to the animated series saying that the characters are pretty much the same except “the spandex is yellower, the Rogues are sexier and Jubilee is a main character for some reason.”

The video really hits hard at nostalgics who grew up with the series and watched it transform onto the big screen.

Watch the Honest Trailer that features Storm yelling at nature, Wolverine trying to curse, cliffhangers, Scott and Jean yelling each other’s names and many more awesome scenes.
