‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition’ Trailer: Jena Malone Appears at Last

Her character, Barbara Gordon, was cut from the theatrical release.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has come and gone from theaters, but special features and Blu-ray exclusives have ensured that a movie’s lifespan lasts well past the multiplex. In this superhero movie’s case, that includes a character who was cut from the final film to the disappointment of many: Jena Malone’s Barbara Gordon. In the new trailer for the “ultimate edition” of “Batman v Superman,” we finally get a live-action glimpse of her.

Malone appears halfway through the new footage, speaking to Amy Adam’s Lois Lane: “This is what makes you such a good reporter,” she tells her colleague. “Stuff like this still shocks you.” Elsewhere the focus remains on the two brooding crime-fighters of the title, who start as enemies but (spoiler alert?) eventually work out their differences to form the good-guy group of the subtitle.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition” comes to digital HD on June 28 and Blu-ray on July 19.
