Armed Man Opens Fire in German Movie Theater Complex, Injuries Reported

Reports say a "heavily armed" man opened fire at a German movie complex in Hessen today.

Reports are coming out of Germany that an armed man has opened fire at a movie theater complex in Hessen, Germany. Deadline reported the story earlier this morning, citing German newspaper Bild, which reported that a “heavily armed” man opened fire in a crowded theater and was in a stand-off with police.

Variety reports that up to 25 moviegoers have been injured in the shooting. No casualties have been confirmed. According to The Wrap, the gunman has been killed by police and the injuries could be as high as 50 people. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the shooter has been killed by German authorities.
