Jena Malone has been one of the biggest mysteries surrounding “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” She was spotted on set, rumored to be in the movie, confirmed for it, rumored to be playing a number of fascinating characters — such as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl — and then, in a rather anticlimactic fashion, cut from the theatrical version. With the three-hour ultimate edition cut releasing soon, however, we recently got our first look at Jena Malone in the edition’s trailer. Well, we now know who she’s playing.

According to the credits of the ultimate edition, Malone plays a character named Jenet Klyburn. (The leaked video with proof has been pulled.) Who is Jenet Klyburn? In the DC Universe, she’s a head scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs in Metropolis. Not only does S.T.A.R. Labs have a connection to both Cyborg and the Flash, but Klyburn herself has also worked with Superman in some of the comics. So, while she was cut from this entry, Malone may be back for future ones.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition” will release digitally June 28 and on Blu-ray July 19. Check out the trailer for the edition below.
