‘This Is Us’ New Trailer: Buzzy Fall Drama Celebrates Father’s Day With Emotional Footage

The teaser depicts the struggles and joys of fatherhood.

Just in time for Father’s Day, NBC released a special trailer for its upcoming drama “This Is Us,” highlighting the joys and struggles of fatherhood.

The clip shows a proud pop cheering on his daughter at her soccer game, even if she’d rather french braid a teammates hair instead of playing, that same man is seen meeting his biological father for the first time and a soon-to-be dad holds his wife’s hand as she is about to deliver.

The series follows a unique group of people whose paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways. The show already has a strong following and garnered a slew of positive reactions after the first trailer was released. The first sneak peek of the show was record-breaking, crossing 50 million views on Facebook in just 11 days. Factoring in views from other video platforms, excluding the plays on nbc.com, it has been estimated that the clip was viewed between 70-80 million times.

The cast includes Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia and Sterling K. Brown and hails from the writer and directors of “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” Dan Fogelman Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.

“This Is Us” premieres on NBC on Tuesday, September 20 at 10pm.
