‘Imperium’ Trailer: Daniel Radcliffe Goes Undercover as a Skinhead in Daniel Ragussis’ Thriller

His Patronus won't help him now.


Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t play a farting corpse in “Imperium,” but it might be worth seeing anyway. The “Swiss Army Man” actor stars an FBI agent who goes undercover to infiltrate a white-supremacist organization in Daniel Ragussis’ thriller, the trailer for which is now available. Watch it below.

In it, we see Radcliffe himself shave his head and reluctantly joins the group, an undertaking for which he considers himself woefully unprepared. Burning crosses, dirty bombs, a certain hand gesture and other familiar signposts of the genre all suggest that Harry Potter himself will need more than his Patronus to get out of this one unscathed.

Toni Collette, Tracy Letts, Nestor Carbonell, Burn Gorman and Chris Sullivan co-star in the film, which continues this year’s apparent trend of skinhead-inflected thrillers: “Green Room” and “The Purge: Election Year” likewise featured white supremacists as antagonists. Lionsgate Premiere will release “Imperium” on August 19.
