“In a Valley of Violence” follows Paul (Ethan Hawke), a mysterious drifter who is making his way towards Mexico through the Old West with only his trusted dog by his side. In an attempt to take a shortcut, Paul passes through Denton, Texas, a nearly abandoned no-horse town dubbed by locals as the “valley of violence.” It’s controlled by a group of violent misfits led by brash troublemaker Gilly Martin (James Ransone), the son of the town’s marshal Clyde Martin (John Travolta). As tension between Paul and Gilly rise immediately, the Denton residents witness an act of violence that sets off a chain of events which affects everybody in the small town. Soon, everyone’s body and soul will be at hazard. Watch the trailer for the film below, courtesy of EW.
