‘Star Trek Beyond’ Clip Shows Off New Space-Set Action Sequences

The Justin Lin-directed film arrives in theaters on July 22.

The release of “Star Trek Beyond” is right around the corner and Paramount Pictures has just released a new TV spot for the upcoming Justin Lin-directed movie.

Titled “Unity,” the 30-second clip shows Captain Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and the rest of the Enterprise crew unite to face an alien threat. The video also features new action-packed sequences that put many of the members’ lives in danger.

The third installment in the J.J. Abrams revived franchise also features returning actors Zoe Saldaña,  Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, John Cho and the late Anton Yelchin. New cast members include Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella and Joe Taslim.

This year “Star Trek” will celebrate its 50 anniversary. To celebrate, fans will be given the opportunity watch the upcoming film in advanced. Select Imax and premium large screen theaters in the U.S. and Canada are having a one-night-only “Star Trek” marathon on July 20, where they will screen the film.
