Kirsten Dunst Shares Amazing ‘Virgin Suicides’ / ‘Suicide Squad’ Meme, Wins The Internet

Though latest superhero film “Suicide Squad” has garnered mostly mixed-to-negative reviews, it’s nevertheless sweeping the nation as well as the Internet. But while fans of the film or the DC Comics Universe might be sharing memes to express their adoration or displeasure, one actress in particular shared a clever meme that harkened back to a film that was released 20 years ago.

On her Instagram, Kirsten Dunst shared a picture of herself and the cast of Sofia Coppola’s “The Virgin Suicides,” and proclaimed that there’s “only one REAL Suicide Squad.” The meme was originally created by Twitter user Carter Nixon. Check it out below.

Kirsten Dunst first rose to prominence in her role as Claudia in the 1994 film “Interview with the Vampire.” She then went on to appear in other 90s films like “Jumanji,” “Wag the Dog,” “Small Soldiers,” and “Dick.” She then starred in the popular teen comedy “Bring It On,” where she received much critical acclaim for her comic timing. After that, she co-starred as Mary Jane in Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” trilogy, and appeared in a supporting role in Michel Gondry’s “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.” She garnered widespread acclaim for her performance in Lars von Trier’s “Melancholia,” and won the 2011 Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress. She recently co-starred in the second season of the FX drama “Fargo” and Jeff Nichols’ sci-fi film “Midnight Special.”
